All the images in the gallery are purposely chosen for a good reason. From experience, I know that showing images of, say, Lions on a kill from an exotic Safari tour, can be off-putting for the following reasons: When we start out in wildlife photography we are beginning a journey and viewing images that are generally not achievable for a beginner can be soul destroying…‘I’m never going to be able to do that!’
So, with that in mind, I’ve selected a few images that I believe can be created by anyone with a little knowledge and a bit of dedication and practice. They centre on Composition, Sharpness and capturing fleeting moments: birds on a garden feeder to predators in a public nature reserve.
It’s about getting the basics right. Not being ego-centric and showcasing but always remembering where we all started…the beginning.
